About the Role

We are seeking a Health Care Assistant to join our Enliven team at Longview Home in Wellington. This is a permanent part-time position with hours ranging from 25 to 30 per week, working morning and/or afternoon shifts. The role involves contributing to a supportive team environment focused on delivering high-quality, resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist elders with daily living activities and provide care support.
• Promote independence and encourage residents to make their own decisions.
• Deliver personalised, high-standard support to residents.
• Adhere to and promote all health and safety policies and practices.
• Work collaboratively under the guidance of Registered Nurses.
• Ensure resident needs are met promptly and effectively.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess enthusiasm, patience, organisation skills, and excellent interpersonal abilities. A genuine passion for older people's wellbeing and a commitment to empathy, compassion, and respect while adopting a person-centered approach are essential. Effective communication and teamwork are vital for success in this position.

• Hold a Level 2 or higher Health and Wellbeing Certificate.
• Passionate about elder care and wellbeing.
• Patient, organised, and a cooperative team member.
• Strong verbal communication and accurate documentation skills.
• Comfortable with computer use and digital record keeping.
