Role Overview

The Head of HR Operations will be responsible for the daily management of RemotePass's internal global team’s People function. This is a practical, execution-oriented role requiring hands-on involvement, maintaining smooth HR operations while leading a small, skilled team handling HR and recruitment tasks. This position focuses exclusively on RemotePass's own staff—not on contractors or EOR-managed personnel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations for RemotePass's internal globally distributed workforce, ensuring reliable and efficient functioning.
  • Maintain and update HR processes, policies, documentation, and systems, improving and streamlining where suitable.
  • Act as primary HR contact for the team, promptly addressing employee queries and concerns with care.
  • Oversee end-to-end performance review cycles, coordinating setup, execution, and follow-up.
  • Lead and assist the talent acquisition team, actively participating in hiring and keeping recruitment pipelines progressing.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the HR team as the company grows, balancing personal delivery with leadership responsibilities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal HR policies and local labor regulations across multiple countries.
  • Monitor and report key HR metrics such as time to hire, onboarding completion, ticket resolution, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership, Finance, and Payroll teams to guarantee a seamless employee experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in HR or People Operations with a strong emphasis on hands-on operational delivery.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing HR operations for remote, multi-national teams.
  • Proficient in overseeing both HR operations and talent acquisition concurrently.
  • Experience leading and nurturing a small team.
  • Background in startups, scaleups, technology companies, EOR, or HR tech sectors is highly favored.
  • Practical experience managing onboarding, offboarding, performance reviews, and proficiency with relevant HR and recruitment tools including ATS systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and process management skills with high attention to detail and accountability.
  • Ability to serve as the operational backbone in a fast-evolving, remote-first environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
