Role Overview
We are seeking a Head of HR Operations to oversee the daily functioning of the People function for RemotePass's fully remote, global team. This role emphasizes practical execution; the individual will directly manage operations while leading a compact team responsible for HR operations and talent acquisition. The role focuses on internal employees only, not those managed externally on clients' behalf.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily HR operations across RemotePass's global internal workforce, ensuring smooth and reliable service.
- Maintain and refine HR processes, policies, documentation, and systems—keeping everything updated, resolving issues, and simplifying procedures where appropriate.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the team’s HR-related queries, addressing concerns promptly and thoughtfully.
- Lead full-cycle performance review processes, from planning through execution and follow-up.
- Direct and support the talent acquisition efforts, staying involved in recruitment activities to maintain candidate pipelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small HR team, balancing personal delivery with team management during company growth.
- Ensure adherence to both RemotePass’s internal policies and local labor laws across multiple countries.
- Monitor and report on essential HR metrics such as time to hire, onboarding progress, issue resolution, and compliance status.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with leadership, Finance, and Payroll teams to deliver a seamless employee experience.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in HR or People Operations with a focus on hands-on leadership.
- Proven track record managing HR operations for remote or distributed teams across multiple countries.
- Experience managing both HR operations and talent acquisition activities simultaneously.
- Prior experience in leading and developing small teams.
- Background in startups, scale-ups, tech companies, or HR tech/EOR organizations is highly valuable.
- Practical knowledge of onboarding, offboarding, and performance review processes, along with proficiency in HR and recruitment tools such as applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Strong organizational and process-oriented skills, with keen attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to thrive as the operational lead in a dynamic, remote-first environment.
- Fluency in English required.
