Role Overview
As the Head of HR Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing daily HR activities for RemotePass's own international workforce. This role demands a hands-on, execution-driven leader who manages operational details meticulously while leading a small team focused on HR operations and talent acquisition. Note that this position covers the internal staff of RemotePass only, not contractors or clients' employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and ensure smooth day-to-day HR operations for the company's distributed global team.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR processes, policies, documentation, and systems, addressing any gaps or inefficiencies.
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee queries and issues, delivering prompt and thoughtful resolutions.
- Coordinate the full lifecycle of performance review processes from preparation to completion.
- Lead and support recruitment efforts, actively participating in hiring when necessary to maintain a steady talent pipeline.
- Guide, mentor, and expand the HR and talent acquisition team while balancing personal task execution.
- Ensure compliance with internal HR guidelines and local labor laws across all working locations.
- Monitor and report critical metrics such as hiring timelines, onboarding rates, support ticket resolution, and compliance status.
- Work collaboratively with leadership, Finance, and Payroll departments to deliver a cohesive experience for employees.
Qualifications
- Five to ten years of proactive HR or People Operations experience with proven ability to manage daily operations effectively.
- Demonstrated success managing HR for remote, multi-country teams.
- Experience overseeing both HR operations and recruitment functions simultaneously.
- Previous leadership experience managing and developing small teams.
- Preferred background includes startups, scale-ups, tech companies, EOR services, or HR technology firms.
- Hands-on familiarity with employee onboarding, offboarding, performance evaluations, and HR/recruitment tools such as Applicant Tracking Systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail with consistent follow-through.
- Ability to thrive as the operational hub of a fast-evolving, remote-first workplace.
- Fluent English communication skills.
