Job description

Role Overview

This is a senior leadership opportunity for a Head of Growth based in Australia. The role sits within a complex fintech and payments setting and is focused on shaping and delivering the growth plan for a mature market. You will guide a high-performing global sales team, improve revenue predictability, and strengthen the quality of the pipeline and conversion rates. The position is both strategic and hands-on, so you will be expected to set direction while also supporting major commercial deals. You will collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to keep growth efforts aligned with wider business goals. The environment is fast-moving, remote-first, mission-driven, and centered on ownership, accountability, and strong operational execution.

Key Accountabilities

  • Take ownership of the growth plan for an established market and lead an Account Executive team toward consistent revenue delivery.
  • Recruit, guide, and scale a strong sales team while also contributing directly to important strategic opportunities.
  • Create and implement sales approaches that support long-term growth in a competitive fintech and payments landscape.
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospects and other stakeholders to improve deal progression and conversion outcomes.
  • Work in close partnership with Product, Marketing, and Partnerships to ensure go-to-market activity is coordinated and effective.
  • Promote a culture of responsibility, urgency, and high performance while upholding strong ethical standards.
  • Support coaching and development so team members can build on their strengths and progress in their careers.
  • Monitor pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, and deal execution to keep revenue delivery steady.
  • Handle complex negotiations and contribute to the closing of high-value enterprise agreements.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, including 3 or more years leading Account Executive teams.
  • Background in fintech, payments, SaaS, or another sophisticated B2B environment is preferred.
  • Proven ability to build and run growth strategies that create measurable commercial impact.
  • Strong leadership and coaching capabilities, with experience developing high-performing sales organizations.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills and the confidence to engage people at all levels.
  • Experience negotiating complex enterprise contracts and working with legal and procurement teams.
  • Strong analytical ability to manage pipelines, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first, globally distributed environment.
