Job description
Role Overview
This is a senior finance leadership position based in Dubai with a salary of AED 35,000 per month, along with travel expenses and additional benefits. The opportunity is with a UK-listed international business that is scaling quickly and needs a commercially minded finance leader to strengthen and guide its finance operations.
Reporting to the UK-based CFO and working closely with the CEO and wider leadership group, the role has strong visibility across the business. It combines day-to-day financial leadership with broader strategic input across reporting, planning, governance, treasury, and process improvement.
The main operating hours for the business hub are 3:00 pm to midnight, reflecting coordination with largely US-based customers. Flexibility around working patterns is expected to support the company’s international setup.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full finance cycle in coordination with the in-house bookkeeper and an outsourced third-party provider, ensuring management accounts are produced accurately and on time.
- Work with the UK CFO and senior leaders to share updates on cash flow, profitability, commercial decisions, and growth initiatives.
- Produce monthly board packs containing financial performance analysis, KPI dashboards, and strategic commentary.
- Take ownership of statutory accounts, audit coordination, and the preparation of financial statements.
- Manage treasury, working capital, receivables, payables, and both short-term and long-term liquidity planning.
- Ensure adherence to UK and UAE tax, regulatory, and reporting obligations.
- Build financial models, scenario planning tools, and ROI analyses to support strategic projects and new opportunities.
- Drive ongoing improvements in finance systems, reporting workflows, and automation, including the use of AI-enabled solutions.
- Serve as the primary finance point of contact for auditors, banks, advisors, and other external parties.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a qualified accountant such as ICAEW, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification, ideally with training from a Big Four or similarly respected accounting firm.
- Should bring experience from a listed company and have led finance operations in a fast-moving, high-growth, or entrepreneurial environment.
- Needs solid technical accounting knowledge, including statutory reporting and audit leadership.
- Should have a strong record of improving controls, processes, and reporting through technology and automation.
- Advanced Excel capability and experience with modern finance tools such as Xero, NetSuite, HubSpot, or similar systems is important.
- Must be comfortable working both strategically and in a hands-on capacity within a lean team structure.
- Strong stakeholder management skills are required, with the confidence to engage at board and executive level.
Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Senior leadership position with direct access to the CEO, CFO, and Board.
- Chance to shape and strengthen the finance function during a major growth phase.
- Wide-ranging role covering strategic finance, commercial support, governance, and operational excellence.
- Dubai-based role with flexibility in working arrangements to support international operations.
