Job description

Role overview

This is a senior group-level marketing leadership opportunity with a global, PE-backed business that operates across several brands and international markets. The role is based in London with a hybrid working pattern and offers a base salary of £200k–£220k plus bonus.

Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will set and lead the organisation’s global marketing and communications direction across a broad portfolio of brands and business units. The position combines high-level strategic leadership with strong operational delivery, ensuring the group presents a consistent brand narrative while allowing local teams to tailor activity to their markets.

The business is continuing to invest heavily in marketing as a key lever for growth. You will oversee a substantial global marketing and communications team and work closely with the Group Creative Director, marketing leaders across business units, and the executive team to support growth, reputation, and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and implement the group’s brand strategy, maintaining a clear global identity while allowing for local market relevance.
  • Own the digital marketing agenda from end to end, including performance channels, digital execution, martech, and data-led optimisation, with a direct impact on growth.
  • Develop marketing plans across brand, digital, communications, and customer acquisition to deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Manage communications and PR across multiple jurisdictions, including executive visibility and crisis response.
  • Build collaborative relationships across the organisation so marketing is fully aligned with commercial and growth priorities.
  • Lead, coach, and scale a large international marketing team.
  • Control budgets and assess return on investment across marketing and communications spend.
  • Serve as a strategic adviser to the executive team on growth, expansion into new markets, and new product or brand launches.

What the business is looking for

  • Strong experience in digital and performance marketing, not only in traditional brand leadership.
  • A proven record of building brands, not simply executing campaigns.
  • Background in a multi-brand or house-of-brands environment, balancing central oversight with local autonomy.
  • Experience leading sizeable marketing teams across several geographies or markets.
  • Comfort in fast-moving, high-growth settings where priorities shift quickly and marketing outcomes must be commercially measurable.
  • Commercially sharp approach with evidence of winning market share in competitive environments.
  • Leadership style that is ambitious, energetic, low-ego, and backed by a clear upward career trajectory.

Additional information

Applicants must be based in the UK and able to work on a hybrid basis from London. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus, but it is not required.

Background preferences

  • Experience gained mainly in in-house marketing leadership roles, rather than agency leadership.
  • History of working in commercially driven, fast-paced organisations rather than highly matrixed large corporates.
  • A career focused primarily on permanent leadership roles rather than interim or fractional assignments.
