Head of Finance and Tax

Overview

A prominent insurance company based in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Head of Finance and Tax to lead their financial operations. This role oversees comprehensive financial control, regulatory reporting, performance planning, treasury management, and full compliance with ZATCA tax and zakat regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct financial control and regulatory reporting within the organization.
• Lead financial planning and performance evaluation efforts.
• Manage treasury operations effectively.
• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA tax and zakat requirements, including VAT, withholding tax, and e-invoicing procedures.
• Develop and strengthen the finance team and establish an accounting and control framework.
• Implement and manage a monthly consolidated Group reporting cycle.

Applicant Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certified as a Chartered Accountant, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in finance, with a minimum of 5 years in the Saudi market.
• Previous experience at a Big 4 Audit Firm is highly desirable.
• Extensive background in the Insurance sector is essential.
• Hands-on knowledge of ZATCA compliance for zakat or corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax, and e-invoicing under FATOORA.
• Proven practical experience applying IFRS 17 standards in an insurance setting, including collaboration with actuarial teams.
• Competence in managing statutory audits and preparing insurer financial statements under IFRS.
• Experience with finance system implementations is advantageous.
• Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
