Role Overview

As the Head of the Commercial Area, you will steer the commercial success, operational excellence, and development of teams within a specific group of boutiques and partner Points of Sale (PoS). You will manage sales targets, budget controls, client engagement strategies, and team leadership while ensuring all activities are in harmony with the brand's strategy, image, and regional priorities. This leadership role emphasizes driving business goals, fostering a culture of high performance, and delivering superior client experiences across an omni-channel network.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales performance and profitability for boutiques and partner locations by setting and monitoring annual, quarterly, and monthly financial targets.
  • Oversee budget control including managing selling costs and travel expenses efficiently.
  • Implement strategic action plans with boutique leaders and partners to boost business results and brand image, aligning with Maison’s strategy and key performance indicators.
  • Ensure consistent application and adaptation of boutique and PoS action plans across the network.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and enforce compliance with legal and contractual requirements across all stores and partner outlets.
  • Provide training and coaching on performance metrics to optimize sales and profitability for boutique leaders and external partners.
  • Coordinate sales ambassador community training in collaboration with Learning & Development teams, focusing on product knowledge, selling techniques, client service conversion, and event organization like Watches & Wonder.
  • Constantly monitor performance metrics across all sales points, identify improvement areas, and implement necessary corrective actions.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance client engagement, utilizing dashboards and training boutique leaders and partners to activate targeted client activities at each PoS.
  • Supervise client satisfaction measurement to maintain high service levels.
  • Drive innovative commercial projects such as traffic-matching strategies and boutique excellence programs.
  • Manage the development and organization of boutique teams while engaging and animating the partners’ community in the region.
  • Optimize team structure and efficiency through boutique team development initiatives and recruitment participation.
  • Provide mentorship and leadership training to boutique management to foster career progression and leadership skills.
  • Support career committee operations to establish clear retail career pathways and facilitate talent retention.
  • Act as an official representative of the brand, cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regional leadership and partners.
  • Maintain frequent and regular presence in boutiques and partner PoS to oversee operations.
  • Ensure impeccable merchandising, stock management, grooming standards, and client service excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize product assortment and respond efficiently to partner requests.
  • Monitor competition activity including mystery shopping to identify growth opportunities.
  • Address client service issues promptly and support onsite brand events and new boutique initiatives.
  • Lead the management of commercial omnichannel intelligence and related projects involving stock, visual merchandising, and client activations.
  • Track market and competitor trends to uphold the brand’s competitive position and control market risks.
  • Regularly report competitor activity and provide strategic market insights to support regional decision-making.

Candidate Profile

  • Extensive experience in senior commercial positions, ideally including boutique management roles.
  • Strong project management skills with proven capability to lead complex projects successfully.
  • Excellent analytical abilities to transform detailed data into actionable business strategies.
  • Experience managing mature and complex teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills that inspire and influence diverse groups.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic choices.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within matrix organizations and cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Self-driven with a positive outlook, demonstrating strong teamwork and leadership qualities.
  • High adaptability and eagerness to learn and grow in a changing environment.
