Overview

Seeking a seasoned Regional Director – Supply Chain for a multi-facility healthcare region based in Tyler, Texas. This leadership role reports to the System Director of Operations and Logistics and works closely with regional finance leaders to advance supply chain functions aligned with system goals.

Primary Duties

  • Collaborate with executive leadership to design and implement regional supply chain strategies.
  • Guide and support supply chain teams at facility level to adopt standardized, organization-wide best practices.
  • Oversee productivity and performance metrics to enhance operational workflows across all sites.
  • Ensure adherence to all healthcare regulations, vendor agreements, and data protection standards.
  • Manage inventory activities including tracking, adjustments, returns, transfers, and accuracy within ERP systems.
  • Conduct frequent on-site visits to bolster team support and consistent process implementation.
  • Lead year-end inventory processes and partner with finance for accurate reporting and validation.
  • Step in as interim leader for facility-level supply chain departments as needed.
  • Optimize inventory control practices including fill rates, stock levels, and PAR management.
  • Serve as a key intermediary resolving issues between supply chain personnel and facility stakeholders.
  • Supervise contract execution schedules ensuring compliance with internal standards.
  • Regularly assess operational and financial reports to detect trends and implement corrective measures.
  • Champion continuous improvements aimed at reducing costs, elevating quality, and improving satisfaction.
  • Mentor and develop staff to promote professional advancement and strengthen overall team effectiveness.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 10 to 12 years of extensive supply chain management experience, preferably in multi-facility healthcare settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare finance principles, reimbursement frameworks, and operations.
  • Proficiency and hands-on experience with ERP systems, multiple platforms preferred (e.g., Infor).
  • Proven record of successfully driving large strategic initiatives from conception through delivery.
  • In-depth understanding of medical supply chains, hospital equipment, and inventory management.
