Job description

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Regional Head of Marketing & Merchandising, the Regional Product Category Manager is responsible for directing strategies for a designated product line throughout the Southeast Asia and Oceania region. This critical position acts as the primary link between corporate headquarters and local markets for category-related activities.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional product strategies aligned with global standards and tailored to local market specifics.
  • Take full ownership of category performance, focusing on sales growth, product mix optimization, and identifying market opportunities and risks using in-depth category knowledge and market research.
  • Drive merchandising excellence by managing and optimizing assortments, supporting stock management, and forecasting demand in collaboration with Supply Chain and market teams.
  • Oversee the launch and go-to-market strategies for new products, ensuring comprehensive execution across all markets.
  • Provide expert analysis of category metrics, maintain KPIs, deliver actionable insights, and support transformation initiatives such as sales forecasting and pricing intelligence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Commercial, Communication, Client, and Strategic Planning teams at both regional and headquarters levels.

Qualifications & Skills

  • At least six years of merchandising experience with proven success in developing multi-market product and merchandising strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to convert complex data into straightforward insights; experience with business intelligence tools such as Looker is advantageous.
  • Self-motivated and capable of independently managing category initiatives from start to finish.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to navigate and influence within a matrix organization, including stakeholder management and negotiation.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually based on event schedules.
