Position Overview

The Head of Change Management is accountable for creating and executing the change management strategy within the Communities and Families Transformation Program. This role ensures effective adoption and integration of transformational initiatives throughout the department, partner entities, and the wider child and family services network.

Key duties involve crafting evidence-based change methodologies that enhance organizational readiness, develop leadership capabilities, and assist staff in adapting and maintaining change successfully. The role collaborates extensively across policy, service design, implementation, and strategic engagement sectors, embedding people-centric culture and work practices into transformation efforts.

Strategic Leadership

Reporting to the Executive Director, this position provides high-level guidance on change impact, readiness, stakeholder uptake, and behavioral adjustments, leveraging data analytics and practical insights to support informed decision-making and optimize change success. A commitment to inclusive, coordinated change is paramount, focusing on enduring advancements for children, youth, families, and communities.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of budget proposals, Cabinet submissions, and briefing documents for senior executive and ministerial consideration.
  • Employ excellent written and oral communication skills, with proficient understanding of policy frameworks and budget procedures.
  • Demonstrate initiative and collaborative capabilities to support rapid response needs within a dynamic policy context.
