Group Chief Product & Technology Officer – AI / Fintech

Role Responsibilities

• Direct the overarching product, engineering, and technology strategy across various business units and geographic markets within the group.
• Collaborate intimately with the CEO, founders, and executive team to establish new business ventures, product trajectories, and long-term expansion plans.
• Develop and implement AI-powered products and solutions encompassing fintech, automation, risk management, identity verification, onboarding processes, fraud prevention, data analytics, and customer growth strategies.
• Lead the delivery of key product and technology roadmaps, ensuring concept-to-market execution of scalable and commercially viable innovations.
• Manage and mentor sizable teams across engineering, product management, AI, data science, and platform disciplines within regional markets.
• Enhance operational standards in delivery, system architecture, code quality, platform scalability, product development speed, and interdepartmental collaboration.
• Work collaboratively with sales, commercial, risk, compliance, and operations departments to align product strategies with customer requirements, regulatory guidelines, and revenue targets.
• Advance the organization's AI and data proficiency by focusing on applied AI, automation, real-time decision-making, generative AI, and intelligent platform technologies.
• Participate in senior-level client engagements requiring product and technical expertise.
• Establish robust leadership frameworks, foster discipline in execution, and coach senior product, engineering, and AI leaders.

Candidate Requirements

• Extensive senior leadership experience within technology sectors such as fintech, AI, payments, digital banking, identity verification, fraud detection, risk management, consumer internet, or enterprise software.
• Proven ability to lead large-scale product, engineering, AI, data, or technology teams across multiple regions or markets.
• Demonstrated experience in dynamic environments like startups or fast-growing companies, with successful product launches that have driven business expansion.
• Balanced skill set combining technical expertise and commercial acumen to steer AI and engineering strategies while identifying new revenue streams.
• Background in developing or scaling AI-centric products, data-driven platforms, automation tools, risk assessment engines, fintech technologies, or digital consumer services.
• Acute product insight to spot market opportunities, set clear product directions, and oversee product delivery from ideation through launch.
• Strong operational capabilities including roadmap management, team organization, delivery rhythms, stakeholder engagement, and tracking business results.
• Experience operating in Southeast Asia or broader Asia-Pacific markets is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Mandarin/Chinese is essential for effective communication with regional stakeholders.
• Preference for candidates based in Singapore; however, relocation may be considered for exceptional prospects.
• Suitable roles of origin include CTO, CPO, CPTO, Chief AI Officer, Chief Data Officer, VP Engineering, VP Product, Head of Engineering, Head of Product & Technology, or equivalent senior leadership positions in fintech or AI-focused firms.
