Job description
About the Role
A family living in the WD25 area, including Aldenham and Radlett, seeks a committed full-time nanny to care for their 4-year-old son. The family also has two teenage children attending school two days per week, for whom school runs are occasionally required.
Working Hours and Schedule
- Monday to Friday, averaging around 40 hours per week.
- During school terms: mornings 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM and afternoons 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM; Fridays finish earlier at 5:00 PM.
- A 4-hour flexible break daily, which can be used for rest at home, gym, pool, study, or leaving the premises.
- In private school holidays, working hours extend from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM Monday to Friday (still finishing 5:00 PM Fridays).
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary ranging from £36,000 to £40,000, distributed in 12 equal monthly payments.
- Salary is consistent across term time and holidays (no variation for school holidays).
- Optional dog walking duties available for an additional approximate 3 hours per week, with flexible scheduling during school hours; a friendly large dog is present but does not require care unless dog walking is taken on.
- Potential for holiday companionship 1-2 weeks annually, joining family vacations with additional time off as a bonus.
Duties and Expectations
- Sole charge for the young child, with occasional school runs for older siblings on two days weekly.
- Light household assistance during school terms, working alongside an on-site live-in housekeeper responsible for most household tasks.
- Availability for occasional babysitting, providing flexibility to stay later as needed.
- Possession of a driver's license is essential; the family offers use of an automatic car or allows the nanny to use their own vehicle.
- The role is not suitable for non-working carers (NWOC).
Additional Information
- Ofsted registration is not required.
- Employment is expected to begin in September and is intended as a long-term position.
- This opportunity is suitable for energetic nannies who enjoy working with children aged four and above and may welcome candidates earlier in their childcare careers.
