Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Implement proper food storage, rotation, and sanitation practices.
• Provide courteous meal service to students, staff, and visitors.
• Support inventory management by assisting with deliveries and organizing supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal as required.
• Adhere to health regulations at local, state, federal, and organizational levels.
• Offer assistance to team members or cover shifts when necessary.
• Complete reporting duties and meet assigned deadlines.
• Perform any additional tasks necessary to support the kitchen team and school meal initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or cleaning is advantageous.
• Demonstrates solid work ethic and collaborates well with others.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks and following established routines.
• Basic proficiency in mathematics and computer operations.
• Must successfully pass background checks and fingerprint screening.
• Reliable transportation is essential.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Ability to stand for entire shifts and occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, walking, and manual hand use required.
• Exposure to moderate kitchen noise levels and a fast-paced work environment.
• Work schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended weeks.
• May be expected to participate in organizational events or meetings.
