Job description

Summary

This part-time position is based in the Fort Gordon Business Operations Division, serving the U.S. Army community. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens, Nationals, or individuals owing allegiance to the U.S. Non-U.S. Nationals who have continuously resided in the U.S. or its territories for at least three years are also eligible.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare service areas by arranging glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, napkins, condiments, and cold items such as salads, desserts, bread, and beverages on serving lines or tables.
  • Clear tables by removing trays and dishes and clean tables and counters after meals.
  • Prepare food by sorting, washing, peeling, and chopping fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment including worktables, sinks, glasses, and silverware.
  • Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing trash cans and properly disposing of waste.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must provide a Social Security Card and participate in direct deposit.
  • Meet eligibility, qualifications, and background check requirements, including employment verification through E-Verify.
  • Completion of pre-employment checks per AR 215-3, para.2 is required.
  • Able to lift and transport items up to 20 pounds.
  • May need to undergo a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card granting access to federally controlled facilities.
  • Males born after December 31, 1959, must register or be exempt from Selective Service.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The role, hours, or location may change based on mission needs.
  • Ability to follow oral instructions and perform simple, easy-to-learn tasks.
