Position Overview
This is a remote contract position for a Finance Expert skilled in FP&A, controllership, and operating finance. The role offers hourly compensation between $95 and $125.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and evaluate budgets, financial forecasts, scenario analyses, and variances.
- Prepare or critique board reports, define KPIs, conduct cohort analysis, and analyze unit economics.
- Analyze revenue streams, sales pipelines, operational factors, and cross-functional planning assumptions.
- Review close processes, consolidations, revenue recognition methods, and internal controls.
- Detect calculation mistakes, inconsistent definitions, weak assumptions, and management conclusions lacking support.
- Communicate findings clearly through structured and concise written explanations.
Qualifications
- Experience requirements vary by track: 5–10 years in FP&A or 6–12 years in controllership for practitioner roles; 10–18 years for senior reviewer positions.
- Background in FP&A, strategic finance, Revenue Operations, business intelligence, controllership, accounting, or closely related financial operating roles.
- Advanced financial modeling, management reporting, and business partnering capabilities.
- CPA certification is highly desirable for accounting and controllership-focused tasks.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to relate financial outcomes to operational activities.
- For senior roles, experience in team review, managing financial closes, or presenting to senior leadership is particularly valuable.
