Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company’s broader business goals.
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts, including establishing fiscal policies and cost management practices.
- Manage capital deployment, financial reporting, and performance measurement to facilitate sustainable growth.
- Lead financial evaluations, due diligence, and integration processes related to mergers and acquisitions supporting expansion strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to evaluate acquisition opportunities, build valuation models, and generate detailed financial forecasts.
- Ensure timely and precise financial reports are delivered to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Maintain compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and auditing procedures applicable across multiple states.
- Develop comprehensive risk management frameworks encompassing insurance, asset security, and cybersecurity measures.
- Oversee corporate governance compliance with all federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
- Supervise cash flow, capital investments, and project financing, optimizing resource use for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and nurture the finance team to build a results-driven and collaborative culture.
Candidate Profile
- At least 10 years in senior financial roles, including a minimum of 5 years as CFO or equivalent in a high-revenue business.
- Possess an MBA or CPA credential.
- Extensive background in managing financial operations across multiple states, particularly within the construction sector.
- Proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, financial modeling, due diligence, and strategic financial analysis.
- Strong leadership capabilities combined with strategic planning and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging with employee-owners and stakeholders.
- A strategic thinker who employs a cooperative leadership style.
- Ability to integrate rigorous financial discipline with an in-depth understanding of business operational dynamics.
- Experience navigating complex financial environments while managing risk and ensuring regulatory compliance.
