Role Summary
The Strategic Finance team partners closely with Instacart's executive leadership, providing critical insights for decision-making and capital management. The Corporate Finance Manager for G&A OpEx will focus on financial operations related to corporate functions, collaborating with teams like People, Finance, Legal, and Tax to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main finance liaison for G&A cost centers including People, Finance, Legal, and Tax, overseeing comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and performance management with a focus on accountability.
- Lead monthly and quarterly Actuals vs Forecast processes for G&A operational expenses, delivering variance analysis and executive-level commentary connecting financial data to operational performance and future forecast adjustments.
- Manage annual budgeting and monthly forecasting cycles for G&A, aligning headcount plans, vendor expenditures, and discretionary budgets with company objectives.
- Develop and sustain detailed financial models and dashboards to facilitate scenario planning and investment decisions; utilize AI tools to automate workflows and accelerate insight generation enabling rapid, data-supported decisions.
- Coordinate with the Accounting team during month-end close to ensure accurate recording of G&A financials with timely accruals, reclassifications, and variance analyses.
- Adapt to ambiguity by establishing financial structures, improving processes, and swiftly responding to shifting organizational priorities and business demands.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate demonstrates proficient financial modeling skills paired with strong communication and executive presence. They are self-driven, thrive in fast-evolving environments, and excel at building collaborative relationships to achieve accurate financial outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or an analogous discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Over six years of experience in Strategic or Corporate Finance, FP&A, or a related analytic function within high-growth public technology companies.
- Expertise in advanced financial modeling and forecasting, supporting data-driven decisions at the executive level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing materials for VP and C-suite leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and excel within fast-paced ambiguous settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in FP&A, Corporate/Strategic Finance, consulting, equity research, or data analytics.
- Experience in consumer marketplaces or SaaS sectors.
- Previous work in a publicly listed company environment.
- Interest and experience in leveraging AI and automation to enhance workflows and analytic insights.

This full-time remote role is open to candidates residing in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia. Compensation is competitive and aligns with the candidate's location, skills, and experience.
Successful candidates will receive base salary within the CAD 153,000 to CAD 161,500 range, eligibility for new hire equity grants, and annual equity refresh awards along with a comprehensive benefits package.
