Key Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive valuation exercises for private enterprises utilizing relevant financial and market approaches.
- Create, assess, and enhance detailed Excel-based valuation models.
- Evaluate company financial health, forecasts, capital structures, and comparable market data, including transaction details.
- Analyze assumptions, sensitivity factors, valuation variations, and potential investment risks.
- Review and improve investment policy documents by detecting discrepancies and recommending enhancements.
- Assist with extensive portfolio evaluations covering both public and private assets.
- Gather and document market data, maintaining accurate source tracking.
- Translate complex analytical insights into clear, executive-level presentations.
- Draft streamlined trade and investment documentation as needed.
- Ensure that all financial models, conclusions, and presentations are coherent and ready for decision-making.
- Incorporate feedback from senior stakeholders efficiently and iterate work rapidly.
Candidate Qualifications
Essential:
- 5 to 7 years of relevant investment banking, private equity, family office, or investment management experience.
- Expertise in private-company valuation, financial modeling, investment scrutiny, and transaction execution.
- Advanced Excel proficiency to develop rigorous and auditable financial models.
- Experience in preparing senior-level materials for investment committees, boards, or transactions.
- Deep knowledge of valuation methods like comparable companies, precedent transactions, and discounted cash flows.
- Ability to handle market data exports, financial reports, portfolio data, and uneven datasets.
- Exemplary written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable with peer-reviewed analytical judgment calibration.
Preferred:
- Background in evaluating investment policies or institutional portfolios.
- Possession of an MBA, finance master’s, or CFA credentials.
- Experience in AI-related valuation, financial analysis, or human-data projects.
