Position Details
We are seeking an English (New Zealand) Audio Generalist Evaluator Expert for a contract role. This position involves transcribing and optimizing audio and video content with a focus on New Zealand English, developing evaluation criteria, conducting model testing, and maintaining dataset quality through benchmarking and quality assurance efforts. This is a remote role requiring a weekly commitment of 10 to 20 hours, compensated at $50 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe and refine audio/video materials in NZ English following stipulated guidelines.
- Create and document assessment frameworks including rubrics and grading standards.
- Perform model evaluations and grading while delivering constructive feedback to enhance model accuracy in NZ English tasks.
- Ensure the consistency and dependability of datasets through ongoing benchmarking and quality monitoring.
- Work collaboratively with project leaders to clarify uncertainties and improve task structures.
Qualifications
- Excellent writing, editing, and analytical thinking abilities.
- Capability to work autonomously with deadlines.
- Native or near-native proficiency in New Zealand English with comprehension of regional dialect and Māori influences.
- Availability for 10 to 20 hours per week.
Preferred Experience and Background
- Current college students or recent graduates.
- Academic background in linguistics, humanities, or social sciences.
- Previous experience in transcription, annotation, or language localization.
- Interest in artificial intelligence and language model development.
