Role Overview and Responsibilities
The Finance Senior Associate within the Business Partnering Team will provide essential support in finance and business decision-making processes. Collaborating closely with Finance Managers, this role involves generating insightful financial analyses that inform business decisions. With experience, the associate will take on greater leadership in these tasks.
This role is integral to PwC’s Finance teams, which actively engage with business leaders to enhance performance, identify financial improvements, prepare budgets and forecasts, and report on commercial and functional outcomes. Emphasizing a people-first philosophy, PwC empowers its Business Partnering teams to foster collaboration and create meaningful value.
The candidate will be exposed to various critical finance functions tailored to their skills and career goals and will also develop partnerships with other Business Partnering units, Finance Directors, business leaders, and PwC’s Centres of Excellence.
Key functional areas include:
- Business strategy and planning: delivering detailed analyses to support P&L management, assisting leadership with strategic decisions, and contributing to revenue and cost forecasts.
- Budgeting and forecasting: aiding Finance Leaders in budget preparation and generating insightful forward-looking reports to assist business planning and performance management.
- Performance management and commercial solutions: interpreting monthly financial results, preparing commentaries for leaders, monitoring performance against KPIs, and escalating issues with supporting analysis.
- Financial control and compliance: providing accounting guidance to Partners, supporting the Financial Control center with complex queries, and sharing local financial insights in compliance with governance standards.
- Complex engagement support: conducting revenue recognition, forecasting, and variance analyses as needed, identifying financial risks and opportunities, and collaborating with senior decision makers to address these.
Additional Information
The work shift for this position is from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
Educational Qualification and Eligibility
Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree in any specialization.
Notice Period
The candidate should be able to join within a maximum notice period of 60 days.
