Role Summary
A well-established healthcare network in Dubai is looking for a qualified Family Medicine doctor to strengthen its primary care services. The role sits within a multidisciplinary outpatient environment and is centered on delivering thoughtful, patient-focused care to a broad and varied patient population.
This position is suited to a physician who wants to practice broad-based family medicine in a modern clinical setting, with access to advanced diagnostics and timely specialist referrals.
Job Details
- Position: Family Medicine Physician
- Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
- Setting: Multispecialty hospital outpatient department
- Minimum experience: 3+ years after specialist or board certification
- Practice model: Outpatient primary care with integrated diagnostic and specialist referral support
Core Duties
- Deliver broad primary care services for patients of all ages, with an emphasis on continuity and long-term care.
- Assess patients through detailed history-taking, examinations, and diagnostic workups, then diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
- Oversee ongoing management of chronic illnesses such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, respiratory disorders, thyroid conditions, and metabolic problems using evidence-based practice.
- Provide preventive care through routine screening, immunisation, health promotion, and early detection efforts.
- Create personalised treatment plans and follow up regularly to track outcomes and adjust care where needed.
- Counsel patients on prevention, nutrition, lifestyle improvement, and general health maintenance.
- Arrange referrals to specialists and other allied health professionals, and ensure continuity after referral.
- Keep accurate electronic records and clinical documentation in line with organisational and regulatory expectations.
- Take part in governance, quality improvement, and patient safety activities.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to UAE healthcare regulations, ethical standards, and hospital policies at all times.
Qualifications
Applications are open to physicians with a recognised specialist qualification, including one or more of the following:
- American Board of Family Medicine
- UK CCT / MRCGP
- European Board Certification
- Royal College Certification (Canada)
- Australian Fellowship (FRACGP / FACRRM)
- Arab Board
- MD, DNB, FNB, DrNB, DM, FCPS, or an equivalent recognised specialist credential
Licensing Support
Candidates should be eligible for DHA, DOH, or MOH licensing guidance. Support is provided for the licensing journey.
