Role Summary

A major tertiary multispecialty hospital in Dubai is looking to strengthen its pediatric cardiology department by hiring an experienced Consultant or Specialist Pediatric Cardiologist. The setting is JCI-accredited and clinically advanced, with a strong focus on complex cardiac care for newborns, children, and adolescents from a wide international patient base.

Position Details

  • Role: Consultant / Specialist Pediatric Cardiologist
  • Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates
  • Hospital setting: Private / Government / Multispecialty / Tertiary care, JCI-accredited
  • Required experience: 3–5+ years after specialty or board certification
  • Clinical focus: Pediatric cardiology, congenital heart disease, interventional and non-invasive cardiology

Clinical Scope

The selected doctor will deliver end-to-end cardiac care for infants, children, and teenagers, working closely with pediatricians, intensivists, and cardiac surgeons to manage both routine and highly complex cases.

Qualifications and License Eligibility

Applications are invited from internationally qualified pediatric cardiologists with credentials such as American Board certification in pediatrics/cardiology, UK CCT, MRCPCH plus pediatric cardiology fellowship, European Board certification, Royal College certification from Canada, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or a DM/MD/DNB in Pediatric Cardiology or another equivalent recognized super-specialty degree.

Candidates must be eligible for DHA or DOH license conversion, and full support will be provided for the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and treat congenital and acquired heart conditions in children
  • Carry out and review echocardiograms, ECGs, cardiac MRI scans, and stress tests
  • Perform pediatric cardiac catheterization, balloon angioplasty, and related interventions
  • Support pre-operative and post-operative cardiac care alongside pediatric cardiac surgeons
  • Manage neonatal and critically ill pediatric cardiac patients, including ICU participation
  • Provide ongoing follow-up and long-term management for chronic cardiac disorders
  • Work in coordination with neonatology, PICU, and pediatric surgery teams
  • Explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and expected outcomes to families in a compassionate and clear way
  • Take part in audits, clinical governance, and quality improvement work
  • Guide and supervise junior doctors, residents, and medical students
  • Follow UAE healthcare regulations and internationally accepted clinical standards
