About the role
This position sits within a global hospitality organization that values warmth, integrity, personal expression, and career growth. The role is based in Doha, Qatar, at a business district property with convenient access to the airport and nearby attractions.
The hotel complex includes 378 guestrooms and suites at Crowne Plaza and 307 guestrooms at Holiday Inn, both fitted with modern comforts and high-speed wireless internet.
What you will do
- Own small- to medium-scale events and ensure smooth coordination from planning through delivery.
- Prepare and circulate clear, accurate group resumes and banquet event orders so all departments understand the event requirements.
- Work alongside clients and relevant hotel teams throughout the conference period, stepping in when support is needed.
- Carry out familiarization visits and site inspections for prospective and existing business.
- Track competitor activity and share tactical updates with management.
- Host prospects and key accounts to retain current business and win additional revenue.
- Provide reports on sales activity and achieved outcomes as needed.
- Build and maintain relationships with business sources such as meeting and convention planners, visitors bureau contacts, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate clients, government departments, and other related partners.
- Align daily work with business needs and operational priorities.
What we are looking for
- Experience in event planning or conference services, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
- Strong familiarity with the local market.
- Comfort working in a busy, fast-moving, and varied workplace.
- Good understanding of local businesses and market trends.
- Clear spoken and written communication skills in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
