Role Overview
The Reservations Host will handle all operations related to hotel reservations efficiently and accurately in a luxury hospitality setting. This role involves managing reports, processing reservations, and coordinating with various departments and external agents to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate daily reports for the Reservation team along with data for operational and Sales & Marketing departments.
- Manage new and existing reservations, update records, process deposits, respond to reservation inquiries within 24 hours, and perform related administrative tasks including handling No Show reports, commission tracking, and comments.
- Support the allocation of rooms and address special guest requests, including blocking rooms as required.
- Communicate with guests and travel agents to resolve any discrepancies in preferences or special requests prior to arrival.
- Monitor and forecast room availability based on active bookings.
- Ensure synchronization of the internet reservation system with other hosts for accuracy.
- Assist in setting room rates aligned with the resort's sales strategies.
- Manage guest profile and history systems to maintain comprehensive records.
- Complete daily reservations with full guest details, ensuring accuracy in profiles, rate codes, and market/source information.
- Maintain and exceed service standards as defined by Six Senses guidelines and the Luxury Quality Assurance (LQA) framework.
- Strictly follow LQA standards and incorporate guest feedback to improve services.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; hospitality diploma or degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar luxury hotel role with demonstrated success.
- Proficiency with MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Familiarity with hotel management systems such as PMS, GDS, and CRS is essential.
- Understanding of reservation policies, discounts, meeting/event bookings (MICE), and procedures for handling both local and international room bookings.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability and willingness to live and travel remotely as needed.
