About the Role
Join a globally recognised advanced technology company based in South Canberra, focused on delivering innovative solutions worldwide. This organisation is expanding its brand presence and seeking an Events and Marketing Officer to join their Canberra team.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and lead the full execution of a variety of events including conferences, exhibitions, trade shows, networking events, and customer engagement activities.
- Oversee all event logistics such as travel arrangements, accommodation, sponsorship coordination, venue management, supplier relations, and development of branded materials.
- Create and implement event strategies that align closely with overall marketing and business goals.
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive calendar of events on both national and international levels.
- Assist in the design and roll-out of marketing campaigns and promotional efforts.
- Manage marketing collateral, digital content, and campaign resources.
- Track and control event budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful event outcomes.
- Prepare detailed post-event analysis and assess return on investment.
- Develop and sustain strong partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Work with technical experts to convert complex information into appealing and understandable marketing content.
Candidate Requirements
- Proven background in events management, marketing, or combined marketing with event coordination.
- Significant experience managing large-scale corporate events or exposure to the defence sector is considered a strong advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Availability for travel as necessary.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical people.
- Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
- Capable of juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent oral and written communication capabilities.
