Responsibilities

• Support senior traders in competitively and accurately pricing client energy transactions
• Execute effective hedging of trading positions to optimize franchise revenue
• Collaborate with sales teams to interact with clients and deliver market insights
• Generate trading strategies through fundamental and technical market analysis
• Assist in managing risk associated with trading books, including complex non-linear risks
• Manage position sizing to ensure profitable trading approaches
• Perform daily desk operations such as marking forward curves and providing market commentary
• Hedge exposures in secondary trading books like foreign exchange and interest rates
• Contribute to comprehensive energy fundamental analytics
• Maintain strict adherence to internal controls and compliance procedures
• Work effectively within a culturally diverse and international team environment

Candidate Requirements

• Possess a bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related fields
• At least one year of experience in commodities trading or analytics
• Solid knowledge of energy market fundamentals
• Proficient in assessing risks related to trading positions and market developments
• Ability to excel under competitive pressure while prioritizing client needs
• Demonstrated maturity and capability to perform in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong commitment to compliance and control discipline
• Capable of functioning under pressure at a senior operational level if required
• Technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python and SQL
• Excellent collaboration skills within a diverse and international team setting
