Job description

About the organisation

APM is an international health and human services group that has been changing lives since 1994. With a workforce of around 15,000 people across 11 countries, the organisation supports people of all abilities to live independently and with purpose. It also offers strong opportunities for learning, growth and career progression across its global brands.

Role overview

This position is based at Inverell, New South Wales, within the Inclusive Employment Australia Program. It is suited to someone who is motivated by helping people with disability find meaningful work and build a better future through employment.

Who you are

The ideal candidate is someone who values diversity and inclusion, builds strong connections easily, and is confident engaging with participants and employers alike. You should be practical, creative in solving problems, compassionate in your approach, and committed to creating positive long-term outcomes for others.

Experience from industries such as sales, retail, call centres, hospitality, consulting, business development or administration may also be useful in this role.

What the role involves

You will work with participants with disability to help them prepare for work, secure suitable jobs and stay in sustainable employment. The role involves building confidence, helping people recognise their strengths, removing barriers to employment, and supporting them through the transition into work.

You will also promote inclusive hiring practices, encourage workplace adjustments where needed, celebrate placement successes, and develop strong relationships with businesses that value diversity and inclusion.

Why this role stands out

This is a people-focused role with variety in day-to-day work and the chance to make a meaningful difference. The organisation offers competitive pay with performance-linked incentives, ongoing learning opportunities, and a supportive team culture where achievements are recognised.

Additional benefits and programs

  • Employee assistance and wellbeing support program
  • Option to purchase extra annual leave
  • Paid parental leave
  • Funded Certificate IV in Community Services or Mental Health Peer Support, subject to eligibility
  • Service recognition initiatives
  • APM Family Hub
  • Vehicle salary packaging through Maxxia

Diversity and inclusion

APM promotes a workplace where people are treated fairly, respectfully and with inclusion at the centre. Applications are encouraged from people of all ages, nationalities, abilities and cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTQI+ community and people with disability.

What success looks like

If you want a role where every day is different and where you can motivate people, break down barriers and help build a more inclusive community, this opportunity is designed for you.
