Role overview

As an Employment Consultant, you will help participants progress into sustainable employment by providing individualised coaching, arranging job placements, and continuing to support them after placement. The role also involves working with local employers to create opportunities that match participant needs and goals.

Key responsibilities

  • Build relationships with local employers and identify openings that fit participant aspirations and requirements.
  • Take time to understand each client’s specific employment barriers, goals, and support needs.
  • Work with employers to connect available talent with suitable job opportunities.

What you should bring

The ideal candidate will have a background that prepares them for success in employment services, recruitment, customer-facing roles, or sales. The position also calls for strong communication, confidence in dealing with people, flexibility, good attention to detail, and comfortable use of administration tools and IT systems.

Requirements and checks

A current Police Check and Working with Children Check are required before employment begins. The successful applicant must also create a myGovID so they can access government data relevant to the role.

  • Extra bonus leave days.
  • Salary sacrifice options for superannuation and novated leasing.
  • Discounts on a range of products and services through the employee program.
