About the Role
As an Employment Consultant, you will work with participants to improve their chances of securing sustainable employment. This position is based in the Echuca office, offering the chance to work close to home while making a direct impact in the local community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised coaching, placement support, and ongoing follow-up to help participants progress into work.
- Identify and develop opportunities with local employers that match participants’ goals and employment needs.
- Take time to understand each client’s individual barriers, strengths, and career objectives.
- Work closely with employers to connect suitable talent with available roles.
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in employment services is highly desirable.
- Background in customer service, sales, contact centres, or recruitment will be valuable.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly in a role where priorities can change from day to day.
- Good attention to detail, administrative capability, and confidence using IT systems.
Requirements
- A valid Police Check is required before starting.
- A valid Working with Children Check is required before starting.
- Successful applicants must create a myGovID to access government data relevant to the role.
