Job description

About the Role

As an Employment Consultant at Asuria Training, you will play a crucial part in assisting individuals with disabilities, injuries, or health conditions to find and sustain meaningful employment. Based primarily in Bendigo and Castlemaine, with occasional visits to Kyneton and Gisborne, your role involves personalized coaching, job placement, and continued support tailored to your clients' specific needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized guidance and coaching to help participants achieve their employment goals.
  • Support clients throughout their employment journey with ongoing assistance.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities aligned to participant goals.
  • Understand and address the unique employment challenges faced by your clients.
  • Facilitate collaboration between employers and participants to connect talent with appropriate opportunities.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or managing cases within employment services or related sectors.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to set and achieve goals effectively.
  • Good knowledge of the local labor market and employment pathways.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including proficiency with administrative and IT tasks.
  • A genuine commitment to empathy, dignity, and respect while driving positive business outcomes.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Police Check and Working with Children Check prior to employment.
  • Successful candidates need to set up a myGovID for government data access relevant to the role.
