Role overview

Asuria Training is seeking an Employment Consultant to support participants in finding and keeping sustainable work. Based in Hobart, this full-time position includes working from the Hobart office and spending one day each week in Huonville.

What you'll be doing

In this position, you will work with a client group to help them move into sustainable employment and stay employed.

  • Provide personalised coaching, job placement support, and follow-up assistance to participants.
  • Identify employment opportunities with local employers that suit participant goals and circumstances.
  • Assess each client’s individual employment needs and barriers.
  • Work with employers to connect suitable talent with available opportunities.

What the role calls for

  • Experience in Employment Services is highly desirable.
  • Background in customer service, sales, contact centre work, or recruitment is considered a strong advantage.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and adaptability skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, administration ability, and confidence using IT systems.
  • Willingness and ability to work from the Huonville office one day per week.
  • A valid Police Check and Working with Children Check must be completed before starting.
  • Successful candidates must create a myGovID to access government data relevant to the role.
