Opportunity Overview
This Long Term Occasional (LTO) teaching position within the York Region District School Board offers a fulfilling career contributing to public education. The contract is expected to last until February 2, 2027, providing an enriching environment for student achievement with full support for educators' success.
Role and Qualifications
This opportunity is intended for elementary-level teachers specializing in Junior/Intermediate Math, as well as those holding qualifications in Special Education. Candidates should be members or in the process of becoming members of the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) and either enrolled in or having completed special education certification aligned with OCT standards.
Compensation
Salary is aligned with the current ETFO Elementary Teacher Collective Agreement and proportionally adjusted based on full-time equivalency, Qualification Experience Credit Ontario (QECO) rating, and years of relevant experience:
- A1-A2 levels (Steps 0–10): $57,269 to $102,938
- A3-A4 levels (Steps 0–10): $63,855 to $120,384

Applicants external to the Board must submit at least three professional supervisory teaching references detailing name, title, organization, and contact email through the application system. Internal applicants should include their complete teaching history along with two references, including one from a YRDSB administrator. Police record checks are required before engagement.
