About the Role
This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner organization seeking a Director of Talent & People based in Ireland. The selected candidate will lead the development and scaling of the people function within a fast-expanding, tech-focused company.
The role involves owning the talent strategy, people operations, and enhancing the employee experience while building foundational systems to empower teams’ effectiveness. Collaborating closely with senior leadership, the candidate will influence talent attraction, development, and retention initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine the comprehensive Talent and People strategy to equip the organization with the right structure, processes, and capabilities to support growth.
- Oversee recruitment strategy, workforce planning, and hiring operations to increase hiring quality, speed, and consistency across multiple regions and functions.
- Lead, manage, and grow the recruiting team, establishing scalable hiring processes.
- Directly support senior-level recruitment initiatives, enhancing interview processes, candidate experience, and evaluation methods.
- Implement robust people operations systems including onboarding, offboarding, policy management, documentation, and employee support services.
- Ensure a strong employee experience throughout their lifecycle by clarifying roles, responsibilities, reporting lines, and expectations.
- Collaborate with leadership on organizational design, workforce structuring, and operational efficiency improvements.
- Create and implement performance management, feedback loops, career growth, and employee retention programs.
- Develop mechanisms for organizational health visibility through people metrics and insight-driven risk identification related to talent.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, providing actionable solutions and infrastructure to support sustainable growth.
Experience & Skills Required
- Between 5 to 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent Acquisition, People Operations, Human Resources, or similar leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience supporting companies with over 100 employees, preferably in high-growth startups, technology firms, agencies, or fast-scaling environments.
- Proven ability to lead recruitment teams and handle end-to-end hiring processes.
- In-depth understanding of people operations in remote-first or globally distributed settings.
- Strong track record in building recruiting workflows, onboarding programs, performance evaluation, and employee development frameworks.
- Experience collaborating directly with founders, executive, or senior leadership on strategic people matters.
- Excellent organizational judgment with strong decision-making skills under uncertainty and shifting priorities.
- Proactive, ownership-driven mindset emphasizing execution, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communication skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all organizational tiers.
- Ability to thrive in dynamic environments where creating new processes and systems is central to the role.
