Role Overview
The Director of Operations will oversee daily operational performance across multiple functions, including service, logistics, customer operations, sales support, and field execution. This hands-on leadership position prioritizes improving operational efficiency, enhancing customer experience, fostering strong teams, and enforcing accountability across the organization. The ideal candidate exhibits a blend of strategic acumen and willingness to engage at the frontline level as needed. This role is tailored for a leader who thrives on creating structure, elevating performance, and owning operational outcomes within a fast-paced growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations across service, support, logistics, and customer-interface units.
- Ensure consistent operational execution, accountability, and performance across teams and multiple locations.
- Track and analyze KPIs related to productivity, service delivery, customer satisfaction, utilization, and profitability.
- Identify operational obstacles and implement scalable solutions to enhance workflow.
- Improve cross-department communication and coordination to align with growth targets.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and management of operational expenses.
- Regularly review operational and financial data to spot trends and uncover growth opportunities.
- Drive profitability improvements through operational excellence and discipline.
- Assist senior leadership with reporting, forecasting, and performance planning efforts.
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain top-performing employees.
- Set clear performance expectations and ensure accountability at all organizational levels.
- Mentor frontline leaders and managers to strengthen execution and communication skills.
- Promote a culture of ownership, urgency, professionalism, and outstanding customer service.
- Maintain consistent, high-quality customer experience across all contact points.
- Oversee issue resolution and escalation processes as necessary.
- Continuously improve operational responsiveness, communication, and execution excellence.
- Ensure high standards of operations across facilities, equipment, and field activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in operations within construction, equipment, industrial services, home services, logistics, or similar sectors.
- Proven track record managing operational performance and leading teams.
- Strong aptitude for enforcing accountability and thriving in dynamic, fast-moving settings.
- Comfortable analyzing KPIs, operational reports, and financial metrics.
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on operational involvement.
- Experience managing growth, organizational change, or operational transformation is strongly preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $115,000 to $135,000 base, supplemented by performance-based bonuses. The role offers significant leadership progression opportunities within a rapidly growing firm and a high-autonomy position with considerable operational responsibility.
