Position Overview
The Vice President of Business Operations plays a pivotal role in steering operational excellence within RWS Global. Reporting to the CEO and based at the Milton Keynes UK headquarters, this role champions global operational strategies, ensuring that processes, governance, and systems effectively propel the company's growth and execution objectives. The position requires working onsite three days a week with two days remote, operating between 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development and implementation of global operational strategies that align with company goals and expansion plans.
- Collaborate with executive leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness and operational outcomes.
- Oversee operational planning and governance spanning various business units and geographical regions.
- Create scalable operational frameworks to support ongoing growth and transformation initiatives.
- Guide enterprise-wide continuous improvement efforts, streamlining and optimizing business processes.
- Set and enforce operational standards, controls, and governance protocols fostering a culture of accountability.
- Supervise oversight of information technology platforms, ensuring technological alignment with business needs and champion adoption of innovations.
- Establish and track key performance indicators, producing insightful dashboards and reports for strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory standards, and maintain business continuity and risk management practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the operational teams fostering collaboration and innovation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business transformation, operational leadership, or continuous improvement roles.
- Demonstrated capability managing global operational functions within complex organizations.
- Expertise in process improvement methodologies, organizational design, and governance.
- Experience leading high-impact transformation and change management projects.
- Strong background in enterprise systems, reporting tools, and workflow automation technologies.
- Proven success in building and leading performance-driven teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Sound financial and commercial insight.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience within entertainment, live events, or other complex global operating environments is advantageous.
