Role Overview

The Director of Financial Operations is a key leadership position tasked with ensuring the organization's financial vitality and operational effectiveness. This full-time remote role involves steering financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and delivering accurate, prompt financial reports. The director monitors critical performance indicators and collaborates closely with senior leadership to optimize costs, refine workflows, and support strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Daily responsibilities include managing finance and operations teams, enforcing internal controls, coordinating compliance and audit processes with various stakeholders, and advancing profitability alongside customer-focused service improvements. Continuous assessment and enhancement of financial systems and operational tools to boost data fidelity and efficiency are also essential.

Qualifications and Skills

Expertise in operations management, emphasizing process improvements and financial operations oversight.
Strong analytical capabilities to interpret data metrics and guide strategic choices.
Proven leadership in managing and developing remote, cross-functional teams.
Advanced budgeting, financial planning, and cost management experience handling intricate budgets.
Customer-centric approach to financial and operational decision-making.
Academic credentials including at least a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications like CA, CPA, CFA, or MBA are beneficial.
Experience within retail, luxury, or jewellery industries, especially with managing multiple locations, is desirable.
Familiarity with financial software, ERP platforms, and strong proficiency with Excel and reporting tools.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills with demonstrated success in remote work environments.
