Role Overview

The Director of Business Strategy is a fully remote, full-time position that entails developing and directing the strategic vision for ParEquity's diverse investment holdings. Core duties include leading the strategic planning cycle, transforming market intelligence and analytics into practical business strategies, and discovering avenues for expansion and enhanced impact, especially in pivotal sectors. The role demands coordination with top leadership and multiple departments to evaluate business performance, refine investment approaches, and facilitate decisions about emerging ventures and alliances.

Key Responsibilities

Perform market and financial analysis to inform decision-making.
Analyze risks and returns associated with current and prospective investments.
Draft strategic proposals and deliver presentations to various stakeholders.
Manage strategic projects from conception to implementation.
Engage and align internal and external stakeholders with the company's philosophy and long-term value creation strategies.

Required Qualifications and Skills

Expertise in business planning and strategic formulation for growth and investment.
Advanced ability to analyze complex financial and market data and synthesize actionable insights.
Strong background in finance including financial modeling, valuation, and investment-related analysis.
Experience with consulting methodologies to identify challenges and develop structured solutions.
Demonstrated leadership in strategy or investment management with influence over senior executives.
Effective communication and presentation skills suited for diverse audiences.
Proven success in managing remote teams with a self-driven and responsible work ethic.
Possession of an advanced degree such as MBA, Masters in Finance, Economics, or Business, or equivalent experience; familiarity with African markets and impact investing is favorable.
