Job description
Position Overview
The Department Manager supports store leadership in overseeing all aspects necessary to meet the store's business goals. This includes client relationship growth, staff management, operational functions, loss prevention, and upkeeping Christian Dior's visual standards. The role embodies the brand’s philosophy, acting as a dedicated ambassador.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management to drive sales and operational success of Men’s product lines to consistently meet sales targets.
- Fully endorse and execute key business strategies and new product launches.
- Monitor KPIs rigorously and develop strategies to improve performance when targets are not achieved.
- Implement agreed-upon action plans aimed at boosting sales for designated products and client groups.
- Work closely with management to clearly communicate objectives to staff and oversee individual productivity, cross-selling, and client development initiatives.
- Develop strategies focused on top client engagement within the department to meet overall business goals.
- Ensure effective implementation of customer loyalty initiatives such as Be Dior and Dior Stars.
- Plan and delegate tasks effectively to control workflow.
- Maintain comprehensive understanding and enforcement of company policies on operations, HR, and security, ensuring team compliance.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and establish quantitative goals for stock management.
- Partner with management to conduct monthly employee coaching and performance reviews, and oversee the annual appraisal process.
- Consistently track and address department productivity metrics.
- Support management efforts to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing team members, including building a talent pipeline through networking and competitive market observation.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of five years retail experience with at least two years in a managerial role, preferably within the luxury goods industry.
- Strong initiative, commercial creativity, and fashion sensibility.
- In-depth understanding of the luxury sector.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to act independently.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
