Position Overview
The Department Manager at Christian Dior Couture supports store leadership in driving all functions to meet business goals. This includes enhancing client relationships, managing staff, overseeing operational tasks, loss prevention, and ensuring the brand's distinguished visual standards are upheld. Serving as an ambassador for Christian Dior, the manager embodies and promotes the brand's core values and philosophy.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with store management to lead sales and operational activities specifically for the Leather Goods category, targeting consistent achievement of sales objectives.
- Align fully with business initiatives and spearhead the launch and promotion of new products.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) deeply and devise strategies to address any shortfalls in meeting performance targets.
- Execute action plans agreed with management to grow sales within specific product segments and client demographics.
- Set clear goals for the store team aimed at boosting individual productivity, cross-selling, and enhancing client engagement.
- Develop and implement client development strategies, including "Be Dior" and "Dior Stars" initiatives, elevating customer experience within the department.
- Efficiently plan and delegate tasks to maintain operational flow.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, HR regulations, and security procedures, enforcing adherence among team members.
- Maintain precise inventory control and establish quantitative targets related to stock management.
- Partner with management for regular employee coaching and counseling, including monthly performance reviews and overseeing annual appraisals.
- Monitor departmental productivity goals continuously and follow up to ensure targets are met.
- Support talent acquisition by attracting, recruiting, and retaining high-caliber individuals, fostering a strong talent pool through networking and market insights.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years retail experience, with at least 2 years in managerial roles within the luxury goods sector.
- Proactive mindset with commercial creativity and sensitivity to fashion trends.
- Deep understanding of the luxury market environment.
- Self-motivated and capable of taking independent initiative.
- Flexible to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
