Role Overview
The Credit Officer position is a full-time, on-site role located in Port Harcourt. The individual in this role will be tasked with reviewing and evaluating credit applications from users seeking healthcare financing. Responsibilities include ensuring credit decisions comply with internal policies and risk frameworks by scrutinizing financial documents and creditworthiness. The officer will set suitable credit limits, monitor repayment behavior, and detect any credit risks. Additional duties entail maintaining precise credit records, preparing performance reports of credit portfolios, and cooperating with customer support and finance teams to address and improve process-related challenges. Clear communication of credit verdicts and assisting users in understanding financing terms are vital, alongside contributing toward responsible lending policies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in credit management, with hands-on experience in credit assessment and ongoing monitoring.
- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret financial data, recognize risk indicators, and make data-informed lending choices.
- Sound knowledge of finance principles involving lending, repayment plans, and introductory financial analysis.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating credit decisions, fostering teamwork, and assisting customers effectively and respectfully.
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional expertise.
