Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and service delivery to Business Banking clients, including account openings and product promotions aligned with bank policies.
  • Engage with customers through face-to-face interactions, visits, and telephony to cultivate interest in banking products and services, aiming to exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within new and existing portfolios to enhance profitability and increase product adoption.
  • Lead client credit applications and collaborate with commercial credit teams ensuring SME lending guidelines are followed and alternative solutions explored.
  • Conduct structured meetings with clear objectives and outcomes, maintaining robust sales statistics for management review.
  • Build strong relationships with branch staff to facilitate client referrals for specialized products and services.
  • Manage account documentation thoroughly and liaise with operations for processing, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Handle financial reviews for loan applicants, provide customer feedback on application decisions, and report any declines.
  • Follow up with clients post account opening for further engagement and maintain accurate account documentation.
  • Manage customer inquiries and resolve issues related to account openings, loans, and card applications promptly, escalating complex matters appropriately.
  • Collaborate with internal service teams to expedite resolution of complaints and client requests.
  • Direct clients to the most suitable banking channels for their needs and communicate availability of banking materials and approvals.
  • Assist with branch operations including cashier till opening and closing, authorizing transactions exceeding teller limits, handling cash custody responsibilities, and cash management activities.
  • Adhere meticulously to operational and compliance standards, especially Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, risk management protocols, and anti-money laundering measures to maintain audit excellence.
  • Perform spot checks and comply fully with regulatory and internal policies to manage risks effectively.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the bank.

Educational Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC) in Business, Commerce and Management Studies is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales and Trading, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications in related fields are desirable.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a comparable banking environment and role is expected.
