Crane Electrician Technician - Vizag

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Crane Electrician Technician with extensive expertise in crawler cranes and telescopic mobile cranes. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reading electrical circuit schematics, diagnosing faults, and conducting maintenance and repairs on heavy lifting equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks on crawler cranes and telescopic mobile cranes.
• Interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring schematics, and hydraulic-electrical interface systems accurately.
• Identify and resolve faults involving PLC systems, sensors, relays, CAN bus networks, limit switches, load moment indicators (LMI), and safety mechanisms.
• Inspect and replace electrical components including wiring harnesses, batteries, alternators, starters, controllers, and control panels.
• Respond promptly to on-site crane breakdowns providing efficient troubleshooting assistance.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and routine inspections of electrical crane systems.
• Ensure proper operation of boom, outrigger, hoist systems, and safety interlocks.
• Utilize electrical testing instruments like multimeters and insulation testers effectively.
• Adhere to OEM standards, safety protocols, and company guidelines throughout all maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical and hydraulic technicians to facilitate comprehensive crane diagnostics and repairs.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of crawler and telescopic mobile cranes.
• Strong grasp of electrical and electronic systems employed in heavy equipment and cranes.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical circuit and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with CAN bus communication, sensors, PLCs, and crane safety devices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience working with integrated hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Capability to operate autonomously at project sites, including emergency breakdown scenarios.

Educational Qualifications

• ITI or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• Additional certifications in heavy equipment or crane maintenance are advantageous.

Experience Requirements

• Between 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in crane electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Prior experience with crane brands such as XCMG, SANY, Liebherr, Demag, Tadano, or equivalents is preferred.

Job Location

Assignments across India at various project sites, workshops, or customer locations.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary package ranging from 300000 to 400000 INR, based on experience and current remuneration.
