HSE Executive - Transportation and Heavy Equipment Safety

Role Overview

We seek an experienced and proactive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Executive to oversee compliance and safety standards within our transportation, heavy vehicle, and crane hiring operations. The candidate should bring expertise from logistics, heavy equipment, construction, or lifting operations sectors and be adept at enforcing safety protocols at workshops, operational yards, and client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily safety briefings and Toolbox Talks for drivers, crane operators, riggers, helpers, and site staff.
• Ensure adherence to company and client-specific HSE guidelines.
• Carry out inspections of cranes, trailers, lifting equipment, tools, tackles, and personal protective equipment for safety and compliance.
• Supervise loading, unloading, transportation, and lifting activities to prevent unsafe practices.
• Perform routine safety audits of workshops, storage yards, vehicles, and project sites.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, creating detailed reports with corrective measures.
• Maintain all HSE-related records including inspection logs, statutory registers, and safety checklists.
• Ensure emergency preparedness by maintaining first aid kits, fire extinguishers, emergency gear, and safety signage.
• Organize and conduct safety inductions, refresher trainings, fire and rescue drills, and evacuation practices.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance teams, and client representatives to promote safe work practices.
• Facilitate and support internal, external, client, and ISO safety audits, ensuring timely resolution of findings.
• Champion a strong culture of safety across all transportation and crane operating activities.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary ranging from 250000 to 400000 per annum, based on prior experience and current salary benchmarks.
