Role Overview
We seek a dynamic and results-driven Corporate Counsel to join our Commercial Legal team based in Riyadh, KSA, supporting the expansion and strategic objectives of Salesforce across the Middle East. This role offers an opportunity to provide high-caliber legal guidance on technology and commercial matters, facilitating growth in one of our key regional markets enhanced by AI integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on legal frameworks, regulations, and procedural requirements specific to KSA and the greater Middle East region.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex strategic agreements related to technology services for both commercial and public sector clients and partners.
- Offer legal and regulatory counsel to executives and operational teams particularly on cloud, on-premises, and professional services sales across the region.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams including privacy, government affairs, compliance, and security to align contracts with corporate policies and address disputes effectively.
- Develop and deliver training materials on legal topics, assist with responses to RFIs and RFPs, and actively engage in cross-regional projects enhancing the EMEA Commercial Legal function.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least five years of post-qualification experience in either a prominent law firm or as an in-house commercial counsel, especially with significant expertise in KSA commercial and technology contracts.
- Specialized knowledge in cloud computing, artificial intelligence, data protection, intellectual property, Islamic Sharia law, and public sector procurement processes.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with fluency in both Arabic and English.
- Preferably qualified to practice law in a major jurisdiction or within KSA and possessing advanced degrees such as an LLM from an English-speaking country.
- Experience with US GAAP revenue recognition and involvement in government procurement activities is advantageous.
- Proven aptitude to cultivate productive internal relationships and innovate legal approaches within fast-evolving business environments.
