Senior Legal Counsel

Position Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Legal Counsel to offer strategic legal guidance and support across diverse corporate and commercial domains. The selected professional will collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure the company adheres to all legal and regulatory standards while effectively handling legal risks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver expert legal advice on corporate, commercial, and contractual issues.
• Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate various commercial contracts and agreements.
• Counsel senior executives regarding legal, regulatory, and governance-related topics.
• Assist in business deals, strategic plans, and interdepartmental projects.
• Oversee legal risk management and ensure compliance with relevant laws.
• Coordinate with external legal representatives as necessary.
• Establish and update corporate legal policies, processes, and standards.
• Contribute to dispute settlement and oversee litigation procedures if required.
• Keep abreast of legislative developments and analyze their implications for the organization.

Candidate Profile

• Fluency in both English and Arabic, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
• A qualified lawyer with an accredited legal certification.
• At least 12 years of experience after qualification.
• Preferably has minimum 2 years in an international law firm or within the legal team of a well-known regional/international enterprise.
• Robust expertise in corporate and commercial legal matters.
• Outstanding skills in drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement.
• Commercially driven with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capable of independent work, organizing several priorities effectively in a dynamic setting.
