Job description

Role overview

This is a senior, client-facing consulting opportunity for a professional based in Canada who can help pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations solve complex commercial problems. The work sits at the intersection of life sciences strategy, commercial excellence, and advanced analytics. In this role, you will turn unclear business questions into practical, evidence-based recommendations that influence go-to-market planning and HCP engagement approaches. You will oversee client work from initial discovery through delivery, using healthcare and prescribing data to surface insights that support better decisions and measurable outcomes. The environment is fast-moving and AI-enabled, with close collaboration across commercial, analytics, and product teams. The position suits someone who is comfortable working through ambiguity and motivated by improving patient outcomes through data-led strategy.

Core accountabilities

  • Run structured consulting engagements using a hypothesis-led approach to address difficult commercial challenges in life sciences.
  • Convert vague business issues into clear analytical plans and practical strategic recommendations.
  • Perform both qualitative and quantitative work across market sizing, segmentation, brand planning, and commercial performance.
  • Use healthcare data sets, including prescribing and claims information, to identify brand trends and HCP targeting opportunities.
  • Contribute to launch readiness, go-to-market planning, competitive analysis, and commercial optimization programs.
  • Create and present executive-ready decks, quarterly business reviews, and strategic updates using concise BLUF-style communication.
  • Evaluate client data maturity and analytics capability to shape tailored, insight-driven solutions.
  • Work with internal teams to align client needs with product capabilities and the broader strategic roadmap.
  • Own project delivery end to end, including scope, timelines, risk tracking, and stakeholder management.
  • Encourage adoption of data-driven and AI-enabled commercial methods while supporting change management and capability development.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or client-facing analytics, preferably within life sciences, pharma, or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical commercial operations such as brand strategy, launch planning, market access, and commercial excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to break down complex, ambiguous problems into structured analytical work.
  • Hands-on experience with healthcare and prescribing data such as NBRx, TRx, and claims data, along with commercial performance metrics.
  • Strong Excel skills and familiarity with reporting or visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Exposure to AI-enabled platforms, predictive analytics, or digital commercial tools is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder client work with a high level of ownership and independence.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, life sciences, engineering, or a related field.

Benefits and perks

  • Fully remote setup with flexibility across Canada and the U.S.
  • Competitive pay package that includes base compensation and performance-linked incentives.
  • Meaningful stock option grants with long-term upside.
  • Health and dental coverage available from the first day.
  • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
  • Access to advanced AI-driven commercial intelligence tools in life sciences.
  • Direct exposure to senior leaders in pharma and healthcare.
  • Travel opportunities across Canada and the U.S. for client work and industry events.
  • A collaborative, values-focused culture centered on innovation, ownership, and impact.
