Job description
Role overview
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is offering a fixed-term opportunity within its Clinical Oncology service, supporting the growth of stereotactic radiotherapy provision. The role may include involvement in service improvement, teaching, and clinical research, depending on the successful doctor’s training goals.
Contract details
This appointment is for 12 months initially, with scope for extension. An on-call supplement may be available if required, although it is not a mandatory part of the post.
Who the role suits
The post is especially suitable for a trainee who has completed FRCR and is looking to strengthen their experience and CV before applying for a consultant post. Doctors trained outside the UK may also be considered if they hold current GMC registration and have substantial relevant training or clinical experience in radiation oncology, subject to an initial discussion with the Clinical Director to confirm alignment with PP (for example, CESR) training needs.
Working environment
Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust describes a collaborative, expert and ambitious culture, with clinicians working at the forefront of patient care. The team emphasises professional development, flexibility and wellbeing, and supports staff in building a varied and rewarding career.
Benefits and support
Staff may access career development support, flexible working arrangements, wellbeing resources and a staff recognition scheme. Optional benefits can include Cycle to Work, car lease schemes, season ticket loans, and membership options for onsite leisure facilities.
Flexible working
The organisation is committed to equal opportunity and to improving the working lives of staff. Applications for flexible working, part-time arrangements, and job-share setups will be considered, and candidates are encouraged to discuss these options at interview.
