Overview

We represent a well-established AI automation company seeking a unique technology leader who can merge strategic leadership with hands-on technical development. The Chief Product and Technology Officer (CPTO) will collaborate directly with the founder to expand a business currently managing over 50 client workflows in production, supported by a capable team, steady revenue, and active demand.

Role and Responsibilities

The organisation specializes in identifying valuable client workflows, creating AI-driven automation solutions, and maintaining them as managed services. The upcoming growth phase targets enhancing the technical platform, improving delivery standards, expanding the team, and transitioning successful projects into scalable and repeatable service models.

This role is not solely strategic. Early responsibilities include direct involvement in product development and deployment, requiring up-to-date expertise with AI automation, workflow, or multi-agent systems development and delivery.

Required Skills and Expertise

Hands-on experience recent in delivering AI or automation solutions in production environments
Strong foundation in software engineering, system architecture, and DevSecOps practices
Capability to lead engineering teams while actively participating in development tasks
Sharp judgement in product management and project delivery
Ability and confidence to engage directly with clients and support sales activities
Knowledge of commercial aspects including delivery margins, pricing strategies, and client satisfaction
Preference for fast, pragmatic, and disciplined execution methodologies

Additional Information

The founder maintains leadership over corporate strategy, sales, and profit and loss. The CPTO owns the product and technology roadmap and is central to operational growth. This position is based in Sydney requiring physical presence; no relocation assistance or remote working options are offered.
